Planned Outage update My 6th,2025

Notice to KPL Customers,

KPL will be carrying out planned vegetation management work along the roadside from Chamiss Bay to Houpsitas during the week of April 27th to May 8th, 2026. Crews will be on site starting the clearing work at 8:00 AM Monday, April 27 and will hold off any outages until May 7th.

What to expect: 8hr outage starting May 7th as crews move along the line. Service will be restored between work segments as quickly and safely as possible.

Why this work is necessary: This is part of our 2026 annual vegetation management program. Keeping the right-of-way clear of encroaching vegetation reduces the risk of unplanned outages, fire hazards, and safety incidents along the corridor.

Recommendations:

  • Plan for one longer interruption to sensitive equipment

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important work is completed.

For questions or to report an outage outside the scheduled work window, contact KPL Operations.
